Santa Fe Sunrise

Santa Fe Sunrise

Santa Fe 4-8-4 No.3751 performs a photo runby on the Grand Canyon Railway at sunrise on August 23, 2002. The train was chartered by video producer David Goodheart.
That's an incredible shot! I have to ask, how did you manage to get the sun lined up exactly right? There's not much room between the pilot and the first wheel of the front truck, and the train is obviously moving. We you using a motor drive? If so, was this the only shot that worked out so well?

I'm not a steamer fan but this is one great shot. i second Bob's query about the sun placement, did you use a motor drive?
