CN grain train west at dusk:

What appears to be an SD40-2W, GMD-1,and SD40U with a grain unit train. Apparently, I didn't have very good lighting, so this photo didn't turn out as good as I hoped.
Right across the center. If you look closely, you can see a dim outline of the GMD1 and the snoot-nose on the SD40U. It was much brighter than this when I took the photo, so I don't really understand why the results were so bad.

Was the GMD1u 1436 by any chance? As I saw it working with CN 6023 (SD40u) on a branchline in Manitoba 2 summers ago. Maybe the odd couple is still together?

I'm afraid I didn't catch the number of the unit. I was closer to the tracks earlier, but we were going around the park when it finally showed, and I was to far away, on top of the hill.

I myself have scene some pretty wicked lashups out here. once I seen an SD40-2, SD40, and 2 GMD1's on the local, and Ive even seen an SD60f, SD50f, GP40-2W, SD40(I dont quite remember what it was, GP9rm with Grand trunk western Sublettering, and a slug all on the point of one train.

Sounds like you've seen GTW 6425 & CN 217. The mother-slug set have been all over the Praries.

That's my photo of it. I've seem some rpetty impresive l;ash-ups there too. Curious, how far was this taken from Saskatoon, SK? As I'll be living there starting this summer.

Right in town! It's actually a public park, with a bridge, river, signal, and everything lese a man needs! There is even an old car down in the ditch by the bridge! Maybe we could meet and shoot trains together, sometime! I've been biking out there for years, and I've scene a whole mess of things. BTW, I just caught a new GEVO (2250) and an SD70M-2 (8014) going west about an hour ago out there. I think it was one of the first standard units, let alone the first GEVO out west!
