Normally, my company is switched by a pair of GP38-2's. Today we were treated to some GP-60's. Apparently these are newly renumbered ex SP locomotives. They were really clean. I don't recall ever seeing one. Tom

Any fuel consumption advantage/disadvantage in using turbocharged units vs. regularly aspirated units for local/yard/switching assignments ?

Every day. Some days they go to Airlite or Lozier or the other 4 or five places. It is my understanding the the job starts at 6:30am and kicks and arranges cars first and then goes north. Seems like the OPPD trains are coming after dark and unloading and are usually gone the next day. The Council Bluffs Transfer runs late afternoon or evening. And the CN is noonish for PVS. There is World Herald and Con Agra switch in there somewhere too. And every once in awhile they take some bulk chemicals up the old Omaha Road to the water plant. All in all pretty busy for a small line that goes thru a park.
