Hi,

To the video (please set to 4K quality, sometimes only 1080p available):

I visited Czech JHMD via Brno - quite busy on Friday evening featuring nice cloud moods - , staying overnight at Třebíč where I managed to capture some trains early Saturday morning.

On the Jindřichohradecké místní dráhy narrow gauge network, Reșița steamer U46.001 operated the Saturday special Jindřichův Hradec - Nová Bystřice, scheduled trains were hauled by diesel locos T47.005 and T47.015, "Nautilus" railcars only could be spotted on the northern line to Obrataň.

These are my first videos with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ300, not the newest cam but proven and robust.

These look good, but I'm a bit confused. Where does Canada fit in?

Very nice. Very clear on full screen. What were the gauges in use? The equipment looked way too wide to be on that very narrow gauge.

Hi,

Thanks! :)

@ Bob:
The region is carrying that nickname because parts of it vaguely resemble Canada, with lots of pine trees and lakes. The climate is a little rougher than in most of the Central European lowlands as it is situated a few hundred feet higher.

@ tootnkumin:
Standard gauge 1435 mm and narrow gauge 760 mm (30 inches) as it was in use throughout the former Austro-Hungarian Monarchy (also called the Bosnian gauge). One small stretch seen in one scene filmed out of a standard gauge express train is led along a three-rail dual-gauge track where standard and narrow gauge are joined.
