Visits to endangered / just abandoned / abandoned branchlines in Austria. Regular traffic on the Gleichenberger Bahn in southeastern Styria is supposed to end in December 2020, followed only by a "tourist service". We see Steiermarkbahn ET 2 built in 1930 (modernised 1990/91) in operation on the 1800 V DC idyllic rural line through "Vulkanland". One of the last remainders of Lower Austrian local railways near Vienna, "Schweinbarther Kreuz" Obersdorf - Groß Schweinbarth (- Bad Pirawarth) - Gänserndorf just had its last day of operation before the time table change on December 15 2019. Bus traffic has taken over. Club Kaltenleutgebner Bahn organised "Nikolo" class 52 steam specials on the long abandoned Kaltenleutgeben branchline it tries to revive in the outskirts of Vienna.
