Council Bluffs, IA April 13, 2017

Tying up the whole south side of Council Bluffs is a windmill train on the BNSF. I couldn't tell where it came from. They tied up the town by waiting at the UP 12th St line crossing and then pulling west almost to the UP yard and the backing the whole lot into either the IAIS, the Bayard or the old Milw. Apparently they have to pull way far west to change tracks into the yards on the south end.


A classic CB&Q signal with a point at the top. One of the last ones. Would look good on my front lawn.

Sure glad they redid the tracks so freight can move easier with less traffic tie ups. Whoo boy, as Boris would say.

On April 14th it rained. But they still ran trains.
