SPECIAL SCHEDULE ADDS SATURDAY NIGHT ROUND-TRIP
Busiest Chicago Hub corridor to attract more evening travel
CHICAGO – Amtrak Hiawatha Service passengers can make evening plans for dinner, a
show, shopping and more on Saturday nights through the beginning of next year. New evening
trips between Chicago and Milwaukee will be offered from Oct. 3, 2015, through Jan. 2, 2016.
The attached “fall-holiday schedule” shows the addition of Train 343, departing from
Chicago at 11:10 p.m., and Train 344, departing from Milwaukee at 10:40 p.m.
The route, with intermediate stops in Glenview, Ill., and in Wisconsin at Sturtevant and
the Milwaukee Airport, carried nearly 800,000 passengers last year, ranking it among the top 10
Amtrak routes nationally. Amtrak Hiawatha Service trains are jointly sponsored by the
Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and the Illinois Department of
Transportation (Illinois DOT).
Amtrak eTicketing, printing of boarding documents at Quik-Trak® kiosks (except
Glenview) and advance purchase are encouraged, but passengers can be ticketed on board
without penalty since ticket windows are closed in the late evening. Trains 329 & 330 will
operate only on weekdays during this schedule. Ridership results will be evaluated after the
