UP and CNW SD40-2's power the Milpitas - North Platte (EB) vehicle train. This train exceeded 7000 feet and had a "working" caboose. There were several carloads of railfans chasing this train and they would race east to see it "loop" over itself at Williams Loop.
The Union Pacific "Santa Cruz Local" engineer switches cabs while paused at the wye in Santa Cruz, California yesterday. The train had a real "heritage" mix of Rio Grande, Western Pacific, and Southern Pacific locomotives. :)

I had to wait for Amtrak #7s consist to clear the Coach Wye in Seattle. We were running against the current of traffic account an extra Sound Transit commuter with F59PH #908 pushing the consist toward Seattle. The Seattle skyline can be seen in the background.
