We finished work on BNSF's Hastings Sub and traveled onto the Ravenna Sub to start work Monday
Traveled thru Bradshaw, NE and saw these 2 beauties!
DHMX GP7 #4197 CRI&P #1284 blt 12/52 renumbered as CRI&P #4543 rebuilt by CRI&P on 27 Oct 1976, C&NW 4197 (C&NW in-service date 6/18/91) Originally built with a high nose; haven't been able to find when and what railroad converted it to a low nose.
RE 807 S4 Originally Northern Pacific Terminal (NPT) #41, then Portland Terminal Railway Company (PTRC) #41 blt in 1-50.
Looks like a trip to Bradshaw is in order. My brother got some great sound recordings of the ALco a few years back. Thanks for the pics.
While at work caught this eastbound with an interesting trailing unit

I like the number of the trailing unit.
Traveling out to the work site this morning I almost missed these two and was lucky to get this grab shot; will try to get a better pic later in the week.

Looks like the front end damage on the Geep was caused by going through the rail stops
Still has its original small tank
Couldn't get a roster shot of either unit

While doing maintenance on our machine this morning in Hampton, NE the eastbound local rolled through.
BNSF GP 50 #3171 Former AT&SF 3818 (GP50) blt 2-81 leads former CB&Q GP35 983 blt 3/64; sometime after the BN merger (March 2, 1970) it became BN 2529, and during August 1990 it was rebuilt as GP39E 2940

Saw this unit at an ethanol plant outside of Ravenna, NE; thought I would be able to get a better pic later but we went onto the Sandhills Sub and didn't come back by it.
